Aaden Jones

Hi! My name is Aaden Jones! I am originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, so naturally I love all things Hog-related, Woo Pig!!! I am even more passionate about the Lord’s call for us all to be disciples and to go make disciples. That is how He shared the Kingdom of God while He walked on the earth, that is how you and I came to know the Gospel, and that is His game plan for it to continue to spread! I am thankful he chooses to use us, and I am thankful to partner with Ascent Mentors in this unique way of walking out that calling.

One of my favorite things about the last 3 years has been leading a group of 25 Junior High boys from Highland Park. I can’t wait to see what comes next in their lives now that they are beginning High School. The relationships I built there not only gave me tons of joy but solidified in my heart the desire to pursue full-time ministry so I can continue to invest in so many more and empower others to do the same. I think Ascent offers such a unique opportunity for others to jump in and begin to experience what I have over the past several years.

In addition to serving our community through Ascent Men’s, I also lead various small groups in the community and help lead worship at the Porch and weekend service at Watermark Community Church. Jesus makes it very clear in Luke 10 that, “ Only one thing is necessary”, and that one thing is, “ to sit at the feet of Jesus and to listen to His words”. This is the heart cry of my life, and I pray that this one-mindedness becomes true of those that I get to walk with and lead.
